Before October ended we celebrated our first 'Snow Day'. That's right. We did not even have our Halloween costumes finalized yet, and they called a snow day. The snow that you see in the pictures is all that we got; School was canceled.
It was a little disappointing as everyone knows that the best thing to do on a snow day is to go sledding. Not really possible when there is no snow. We did our best to make a few snowballs and then went inside for some hot chocolate.
This could be a very long winter.

Snow day? No fair! We had snow up to our rooftops last year and no snow day! In fact, even on days where two feet of snow covered the ground the kids were sent outside for recess. While living in the south I learned just how soft those people are. Glad you enjoyed your surprise day off. I love days like that!
