Yippee!! Maggie is Three!!

On March 31, our little Maggie turned three. What a great big girl she is! Benji says that he always thought that Sage and Gabe were big talkers, but Miss Maggie has them beat hands down. She starts chatting up a storm from the minute she wakes up (around 6 AM), and never lets up until she goes to sleep at night, (around 8:30).

Even after we put her in bed, she'll call us back time and time again and she always says: 'Mom, here's the thing'...and then she will proceed to fill me in on whatever it is that she thinks that I don't understand. And like most children, she seems to feel that there is a lot that her mother does not understand,(and like most children, she is probably right). Whether it is a new rationale for why she thinks she should be able to eat in the front room, or a proposal to wear her Snow White dress to the grocery store, she always has a point to make. She's got spunk.

Maggie loves my neighbor Mrs. Holler. Mrs. Holler is 103 and can hardly see or hear. That does not stop Maggie from running up and giving her the biggest hug and kiss every chance she gets. We pass Mrs. Holler's house every day when we go to pick up Sage and Gabe from the bus stop and every day she wants to check on Mrs. Holler and sing her a song or see how she is doing.

Maggie loves going to nursery at our church and her nursery teachers. She always picks out her dress the night before and wakes up early on Sunday (lucky us), because she is so excited to go to church.

Maggie loves to look at books, paint, go to the library and talk to her grandmas and grandpas on the phone.

She is the sweetest girl in the world unless she is hungry or tired, and then you had better watch out!! (This is how we know she is her mother's daughter.) She loves babies and small animals, although she is afraid to get too close to members of both groups.

Maggie loves to lock people, especially her mother, out of the house. I am hoping that she grows out of this phase sooner than later.

Like most three year old girls, she has a passion for Dora the Explorer and the Disney Princesses.

Maggie likes to play games, write the letter M, sing, dance and tell jokes. She loves chocolate milk, french fries, corn, ham, chicken nuggets, and cold cereal.

When Mags runs into our bedroom early in the morning, she kisses my eyelids and tells me that it is time to wake up. She is quick to tell people that she loves them and give hugs to her friends and family.

Maggie keeps life hopping and we are so glad to call her our own.
